It is the most legendary of the group of built-in-rock shrines along the Roussenski Lom River. Ivanovo Monastery is located 4 km west from the village of Ivanovo and 20 km off the city of Rousse in southern direction. From the old original monastery it is only the church that has survived to this day. The most remarkable landmark of the Ivanovo Monastery is the rock-etched frescoes, preserved to this day.
