Lovech is situated 170 km north-west of Sofia and is a regional center.
Places to visit in Lovech:
1. The Covered Bridge – originally built by the famous Kolyo Ficheto and destroyed by fire, now recovered with small stores and shops along both sides
2. Varosha architectural reserve in the town
3. Staro Stefanovo architectural reserve – 20 km south-east from the town with more than 100 reconstructed houses from the beginning of 19th century with preserved authentic appearance
4. Devetashka cave – 15 km away, one of the biggest caves in Bulgaria – about 150m long with a huge entrance 38m high with very interesting Neolithic finds.
