Plovdiv PlovdivPlovdiv, the second largest city in Bulgaria, is located in the Thracian Plain in Southern Bulgaria at 150 kilometers distance from Sofia.

Plovdiv is originally built on seven hills along the Maritsa River, and its ancient history lend the city a characteristic charm.
